Building Financial Clarity Through Better Models
We started pyronalveos in early 2019 because too many businesses were making critical decisions based on spreadsheets that nobody fully understood. Five years later, we're still helping companies see their numbers more clearly.
How We Got Here
The whole thing began when Callum spent three weeks untangling a client's revenue forecast that had been passed between four different people. Each person had added their own formulas, hidden tabs, and workarounds. By the time it landed on his desk, nobody could explain why certain numbers changed.
That project took way longer than it should have. But it showed us something important — most financial modelling problems aren't really about Excel skills. They're about structure, assumptions, and making sure everyone can follow the logic six months later.
So we built pyronalveos around that idea. Clear models that actually make sense when you open them again.
What Actually Matters to Us
We've worked with enough businesses to know what separates useful models from ones that just look impressive in presentations.
Models You Can Trust
Every assumption documented. Every formula traceable. No hidden calculations or mysterious adjustments that break when you change one input.
Realistic Scenarios
We push back on overly optimistic projections. Your investors or board will ask tough questions — your model should have answers ready.
Practical Structure
Built for people who'll actually use them. That means logical layouts, clear labelling, and models that don't need us around to update.
The People Behind the Models
We're a small team in Mawson, which means you'll get to know us pretty quickly. Most of our clients end up working directly with Callum or Freya on their models.
Callum Aaberg
Spent eight years at a mid-sized advisory firm before starting pyronalveos. Still drinks too much coffee and gets unreasonably annoyed by circular references. Built his first proper three-statement model in 2014 and hasn't looked back.
Freya Lindbeck
Joined in March 2021 after working in corporate finance for a tech company. Specialises in SaaS metrics and scenario planning. Has an unusual talent for spotting inconsistent assumptions across different model sections.
What Guides Our Work
Transparency First
We document everything. When a client asks "why does this formula work this way?" we should have a clear answer. If assumptions change, the model should show exactly what that means for the outputs.
Built for Real Use
A financial model isn't much help if only one person knows how to update it. We build models that finance teams can maintain themselves, with clear instructions and logical structure throughout.
Let's Talk About Your Model
Whether you're building something from scratch or fixing an existing model that's causing headaches, we can help. Send us a message and we'll set up a time to discuss what you're working with.
